Nature & Forest Therapy, Cumbria
Forest Therapy and Nature Connection amplifies and creates space for you to experience joy, presence, a release of tension, healing of the past with no words needed.
You feel held and accepted as you are.
Forest Therapy is grounded in Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing), a practice involving sensory connection, slowing down and nervous system regulation, by immersing the senses in the
atmosphere of the Forest.
Forest Therapy is a nature based practice that supports the healing of depression, anxiety, impact of trauma, the practice is included in addiction recovery centres worldwide.
Forest Therapy considers the needs of individuals experiencing challenges and focuses on returning you to equilibrium mentally, emotionally and physically.

The Forest is your Therapist.
I love to offer half day and whole day woodland retreats, with longer retreats coming in 2025.
Retreats guide you to experience an inner stillness and slowing down that can open you to
hidden layers and aspects: all with a great gentleness of spirit and kindness.
Longer retreats offer a container to hold you and support you in creating a deeper connection with the woodland, the forest and therefore yourself.
You have the opportunity to receive natural healing especially for a nervous system
that is used to being in fight or flight (sympathetic).
The practice gently brings you into parasympathetic (rest and digest) which is when your own self healing capabilities are able to express, this is when you can heal yourself.
